Coursera as an Informative Tool

Image
I have been attending a course on Coursera for over a year now named The Science of Well-Being, offered by Yale University. This course is just one example of how Coursera is an informative tool. Coursera is a great learning platform in the ICT for Education and Learning context. It offers the latest, most updated courses instructed by experts from top universities and leading tech firms. It is accessible on any device and allows learners to learn at their own pace. Learners can even earn industry-accepted certificates in data science, cyber security, coding and IT support, which equips them with skills in demand for the changing digital workforce. Moreover, through its world-class online ICT education, Coursera addresses the digital divide.

The 3 Models of ICT Integrations.

3 levels of ICT Integration in the Classroom

Image
At the basic level, emphasis is on using technology as a supplementary instruction tool. PowerPoint presentations, simple calculation spreadsheets, and tools like Google Classroom aid in content management and presentation. While these tools facilitate easier accomplishment of work, they exist mainly to automate mundane ways of doing things rather than transform instructional practices. Middle level witnesses the shift towards active engagement with technology. Teachers create instruction simulations, construct interactive learning activities, and use tutorial programs to aid student understanding. ICT integration goes beyond passive reception of information to student-centered learning experiences. This level also concentrates on monitoring student performance through electronic record-keeping as a more data-based approach to instruction. The degree of high integration reflects the power of technology to transform education. Technology, in this instance, is not merely an addition but ...

Cyber Sense Poem by Kinley Bidha

Image
Cyber Sense I have a secret, One I won't regret. I want to share, Because I dare. Identity of Kinley, Known to me finely. I never let People get My passwords or names— A source of shame. The blackmailer Tries to tailor Every move of mine, Which isn’t fine. It was a lesson, Not a treason. For me to realize, And quickly analyze: The track of my digital footprint, So I don’t sprint Into the traps Of cyber craps. -Kinley Bidha

My Learning Preferences

Image
Today I am going to reflect on how I learn and it's clear that my learning style is a unique blend of kinesthetic, auditory and visual. Reflecting on to when I have learned new skills or information, I have always learned through a mixture of movement, sound and images. I have come to understand that I learn most actively when I am actively doing something or engaged in doing it. Whether I'm manipulating my hands in making, constructing, or experimenting, my body itself is a tool for learning. I reflect upon how, in learning to play the guitar, I needed to feel the fretboard and strings, and the rhythm in the body before the notes became available in my brain. It was not enough to hear or view; I had to "do" In addition to the physical engagement, I also nourish myself on the audio input. Podcasts, lectures, and discussions are a goldmine for me. I am able to get absorbed in the rhythm of a voice, the tone and the pace helping me connect the dots in my understanding. ...

Green Tara and the benefit of chanting mantra.

Image
The reasons why we pray to Green Tara is in order to protect ourselves from fears and dangers which can be both unseen and seen. With a belief that her presence is shield against negative influences and cultivating a sense of compassion and affection for all the sentient beings, I used to pay homage and tribute to her every morning so that my morning begins well with fresh mind and clear deeds. I belief that no matter what she is there to guide me through thick and thin with her blessings and I am safe in her hands, with all my heart for the wellness and benefits of all sentient beings and attain enlightenment I pray Dema Nyishu Tsachi Or chants the mantra Om Tare Tu Tare so ha! Om Tare Tu Tare So Ha.

Brief Intro of myself

Hi, I'm Kinley Bidha- a dreamer, a doer and lifelong learner born on 6th of June 2003 in the serene town of Wangchang, Paro. After graduating from Karma Academy, I set out on a journey to shape young minds and inspire future generations. Now, I'm proudly pursuing my bachelor's degree in Primary Education at Paro College of Education, where every day brings me closer to my goal of becoming an educator who makes a difference. When I'm not buried in books or lesson plans, you'll find me exploring new worlds through reading, diving into the fascinating realms of coding or simply cherishing quality time with my loved ones. I believe in the magic of curiosity and the power of connection- and my hobbies reflect just that. Learning something new excites me and spending time with the people I love keeps me grounded. Emotionally driven yet fiercely independent, I wear my heart on my sleeve while walking my own path. I believe in going with the flow, minding my own business...
